Starfield is coming for early access for those that preordered this September, and what better way to commemorate the game's upcoming drop than Microsoft's new Xbox Series X wrap that features the intergalactic theme? The game from Bethesda is one of the most anticipated AAA-rated titles now, centering on the dystopian future of intergalactic humans.
This is the first time that Microsoft is releasing an official Xbox Series X wrap, one that was created by the company for the console, unlike its rival, the Sony PS5, which has been offering it for a long time now.
Microsoft, Bethesda Bring Xbox Series X Starfield Wrap
Xbox unveiled the latest customization option for the Series X that comes in the form of console wraps, but it is not exactly a clip-on accessory directly to the gaming device. The first release would center on Starfield, the upcoming game from Bethesda that is one of the largest releases for the Xbox this year, also coming as an exclusive to the console and PCs.
Unlike the PS5 faceplates, the Xbox Series X comes as a built and solid device, so this wrap would be velcro-secured and not as a removable clip-on like what Sony made for the PlayStation.
The Starfield wrap comes in two colors, with the special-themed onboard avionics module that takes on the design right from the game. On the other hand, there is a grey-colored wrap that boasts the "Starfield" title on its front fascia.

Xbox Series X Console Wraps are Also Coming
The Starfield-themed wrap is coming this October 18 and is available for preorder now, costing gamers as much as $49.99 for the two color options already.
On the other hand, Microsoft also made other colored wraps in the look of Arctic Camo grey and white color scheme, and the Mineral Camo in different shades of blue and purple. Both wraps are sold separately, retailing at $44.99, but would be available by November 10.
Console Wraps and Skins Now
Designing one's console is a part of gaming, as it gives off the complete look and vibe to the experience, with unlimited options on how to style it. Apart from matching it with additional accessories and stickers, one other option now is to put wraps on it that are available from the official stores or third-party manufacturers depending on what look to achieve.
It is most popular with the Sony PlayStation 5 as it gives gamers an easy way to remove and install the new look via the faceplate of the console. Sony has been regularly creating PS5 faceplates for gamers including those that bring special edition looks that come alongside new game releases.
On the other hand, Nintendo warns against adding stickers or skins to the Switch console citing a risk of damaging it.
Microsoft's Xbox is now joining the league of console customization and design with its newly announced wraps, with the first release centering on the upcoming AAA-rated game from Bethesda. Starfield's special edition Xbox Series X console wrap is coming this October to match the new game, alongside other wrap designs for the gaming device.
