Samsung's upcoming flagship lineup, the Galaxy S24 is currently the center of the leaks and rumors online. According to the sources, the South Korean tech giant might be on the verge of launching the new series five or six months from now.
Before this happens, let's check a new leak from a prominent tipster who claims that Samsung S24 will have some changes in its design.
What is Samsung Planning For Non-Ultra Galaxy S24 Models?
In a post by Ice Universe on X (formerly Twitter) platform, Samsung might consider changing some designs for the newest flagship that will come by 2024.
While the company usually rolls out a curved edge on its recent releases, Ice Universe believes that it will swerve a different path this time for both Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus variants.
iPhones have a more consistent pattern when it comes to designs. Starting from having a flat design on the early models, it changed the rest to curved, then reverted to flat once more.
For the case of Samsung, this will be the first time we will see a flat frame on Galaxy smartphones. The striking difference you will find on the next-gen iPhones is that all of their sides are flat.
If the flat frame is indeed coming to the standard Galaxy S24 models, it's possible that it will debut in the Ultra variants, as well.
At the very least, if Samsung wants to keep it safe, it might just pattern the same design as the previous Ultra models.
Phone Arena logically explains that it will pose some challenges for Samsung if all the sides will be made flat. This is the reason why the S24 Ultra would likely have the same curved frame.

Is Having Flat Design For Galaxy S24 a Matter of Preference?
Sam Mobile writes in another report that there's no denying that the Galaxy S24 might borrow inspiration from foldable phones such as ZFold 5 when it comes to flat design.
Still, this leaked information can be subjective depending on who views it. Some people do not care about the flat frames as long as they don't feel discomfort when holding their phones.
Other users think that a phone should have a flat frame so they could easily take hold of it. Of course, the preference of the design varies from one person to another after all.
If Samsung is serious about its business, then this could be a part of the company's plan to introduce a fresh design to the Galaxy series fans.
Sometimes, it's good to break away from the norm and test the waters with a new improvement. It's been for years since the curved designs are out and this will be the only time that Samsung can finally bring it to life.
Back in March, another leak hinted that the Galaxy S24 will be much faster than iPhone 15, all thanks to its Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
