Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 officially launched just a year after the company previously launched its Mix Fold 2. The sequel to the previous device comes with upgrades all across the board with a refined hinge, lens, and chipset.

According to the story by GSM Arena, the upgrades start with the Mix Fold 3 being slimmer compared to the previous model at just 5.26mm for when it remains unfolded and 10.89mm when it's folded.
It was also noted that Xiaomi engineers were able to design a brand new vertically stacked motherboard in order to assist when it comes to helping reduce the total size of the phone. It was also revealed that the company is developing an all-new proprietary hinge.
The proprietary hinge is reportedly made up of 198 components which would allow it to take 17% less internal space. It was also noted that the new hinge comes with a brand new 3-element stricture as well as 14 different micro-hinges that luck in the primary folding display.

According to another article by Notebook Check, the addition would help when it comes to improving the durability of the device as well as it getting a carbon ceramic steel rotating mechanism while the Mix Fold 3 comes with a support for a 45°- 135° hover opening, which gives users the ability to open the phone like a simple mini laptop.
It was also revealed that the Mix Fold 3 comes with a dual E6 OLED display while packing its main 8.03-inch LTPO panel which comes with a resolution of 1,960 x 2,160 pixels and a variable refresh rate of 120 Hz. When it comes to the device's panel, it comes with an Ultra Thin Glass (UTC) while also bringing HDR10+ as well as Dolby Vision support to the model.
When it comes to its outer display, it packs a 6.56-inch LTPO OLED while being covered with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and being able to reach a maximum of 2,560 nits of peak brightness when it comes to auto mode.
The Mix Fold 3 Camera System

When it comes to zoom shots, the device reportedly comes with a 10MP telephoto capable of handling zoom shots with a 3x zoom as well as a 10 MP periscope module capable of bringing up to 5x optical zoom. It was noted that both telephoto modules come with the OIS.
