An X user called URedditor posted a rumor on the platform which claims the latest specs for the iPhone 15 Pro's A17 Bionic chip, best known for the company's latest chip under the 3nm process. The leaker claimed that the A17 will feature 6 GB of RAM, which is the same as the previous release from Apple, but would improve in another area.

This is with the extra GPU core that it would receive from Apple, with the A16 featuring 5 cores of GPU.

Should this leak be accurate, the A17 Bionic chip would feature 6 cores of GPU, the most out of all iPhones in the lineup.

What to Expect from Apple's iPhone 15

A16 featured a 6-core CPU and a 5-core GPU, but that would change with the iPhone 15 Pro's A17 Bionic chip.

Overall, this is expected as a massive change in Apple's development, centering on better-performing devices that clock out a maximum output of 3.70GHz from its CPU, from 3.46GHz of the A16 Bionic chip.

The leaker addressed that it will feature the same 6 GB RAM, but claimed that it is also possible for it to see 8 GB worth of memory with it.

The A-Series Chips from Apple

It is widely known that the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) makes all the Silicon chips used by Apple, with the Cupertino company being its designer. However, it faced significant controversy after a report claiming that the A16 Bionic chip from last year used the same GPU as the A15 after facing issues in its development.

With the past year's problem, it is expected that Apple would not make the same mistake again as last year, bettering its development for the upcoming A17 chips.

It was said that the iPhone 15 lineup for the upcoming release, and this is not only centered on its exterior changes but also on its A17 Bionic chip.

The new chip is best known for adopting the 3nm process, the smaller-sized chip with massive capabilities.

Speculators and analysts claim that Apple will hold an event for the iPhone 15 this coming September, giving it only less than a month before it finally unveils the new smartphone. With massive expectations on the company, this new chip is expected to be a significant improvement, especially with the reported specs.
