Find out more about the new Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is getting a new DLC and its release date has finally been revealed. This comes as the game launched a new trailer, showing what players would be able to get with the new DLC.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC First Part of The Hidden Treasure Expected to Launch Soon

According to the story by The Verge, after a few months of people guessing left and right regarding when a new DLC would come, the official date has finally been revealed. This comes as the new DLC would come in two parts.

The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's very own two-part DLC would be coming to the Nintendo Switch. So far, the first half of the DLC has already been revealed with players getting an official release date.

The DLC would be called The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero with an official trailer being dropped on YouTube showing what players might be able to expect. During a recent stream by Pokemon Presents, The Teal Mask was revealed by The Pokemon Company.

The Teal Mask First Half of the DLC was to Launch on September 13

The Teal Mask was reportedly the first half of the new DLC drop, which is expected to be released on September 13 and will come with new gameplay features and even more new Pokemon. A brand new DLC trailer dropped showing how players would be able to go to the Kitakami land.

Players would be getting to the Kitakami land through a joint school trip that comes at the same time as a local festival which is celebrating the Loyal Three. The Loyal Three was considered the Kitakami legend with a new masked legendary monster, Ogerpon, also being included.

Players Will Get to Explore the Wilderness of Kitakami

So far, the trailer highlights how The Teal Mask would show Perrin, a photographer, who introduces photo-focused side quests for players to be sent into the wilderness of Kitakami. Players would then have to take snapshots of wild Pokemon like Roto-stick and others with the built-in camera phones of the game.

The trailer then outlines how Kitakami holds multiple wild Pokemon from older generations that players cannot be seen in Paldea. These include Dipplin and other new characters like Applin, which resembles a candy apple.

The Indigo Disk will be the Second Part of the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC

Despite the revelation, the trailer doesn't highlight how players can get the Dipplin. It highlights how this particular Pokemon was a favorite species from new trainer Kieran, who was among the Blueberry Academy students that players would meet.

Players are expected to see Kieran take a larger role during the DLC's second half, which would be known as The Indigo Disk. During this phase, players will be seeing trainers while becoming Blueberry Academy exchange students, which players can find partially submerged in the ocean.

As of press time, it remains unseen as to whether the changes will end up resulting in the game becoming more robust than they did.
