Could it take on the third-gen Oura smart ring?

Samsung Unpacked 2023 event has presented a lot of interesting gadgets to the public including two new foldable phones, a next-gen S9 tablet, Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, and Galaxy Watch 6.

However, there's another exciting sighting that some fans long to see during the annual tech show: a Samsung Galaxy ring.

It appears that the previous rumors are true as the smart wearable is projected to undergo production as nearly as August 2023.

The Elec, a South Korean outlet known for reporting advanced announcements about the latest technology, suggests that Samsung will line up the production of Galaxy Ring as early as next month.

Since the smart wearable is projected to be manufactured this year, we could expect that its launch will likely fall by early 2024 at the very least.

If that's the case, then the tech giant will coincide the release of the smart ring with the Samsung Galaxy S24. It makes sense since the company usually does this sometime in January or February.

Is the Galaxy Smart Ring Samsung's Answer to Oura?

This is not the first time that the Samsung Galaxy Ring is purported to be in development. As per Tech Times' report on July 19, this wearable will contain the usual features we see from other smart rings including the capability to track the user's body mass.

The rumored smart wearable was also the subject of the trademark filing back in February. According to the filing, the device will be used for "for measuring health indicators and/or sleep in the form of a ring."

Following this report, several sources claimed that Samsung has released different prototypes for the Galaxy Ring. All of them are already at an advanced stage, thus making them more stable than before.

This goes to show that the previous rumors are all pointing to the alleged arrival of the Galaxy Ring earlier than expected.

If it fares well in the eyes of the consumers, maybe Samsung can have a shot of a lifetime to compete with smart ring leader Oura in the market.

In another story, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 will sport an outer display that can play YouTube clips. Aside from that, the foldable phone can also allow users to access Messages and Google Maps.

Early reviewers called the Z Flip5's outer screen the "Flex Window." Even if the device is folded, you won't encounter any problems if you play videos on YouTube.

Samsung might have already shown the world that its foldable products can go further as long as new features are present. The company has added improved hinges that act as support for the folding motion of the handset.

That's not the only thing you need to hear from Z Flip5. As a matter of fact, it also comes with enhanced dust and water resistance which makes it more durable than its predecessors.
