The Oppo A2 is coming soon and ahead of its launch, some of its specs have already been confirmed, including the type of display the smartphone will be packing. When it comes to screen size, the gadget would be sporting the classic 6.7-inch display.
Oppo A2 Known Specs Revealed by Tipster
According to the story by Gizmo China, the information comes from Givenchy, a tipster, who revealed that the upcoming Oppo A2 would be packing the 6.7-inch display. As for the type of screen it would be using, it was noted that the device would come with an OLED panel capable of Full HD+ resolution.
The device is also expected to come with 1080 x 2412 pixels as well as dimming capabilities of 2160 Hz PWM. The Oppo A2 will reportedly have an appearance like other flagship phones as it'll pack the familiar curved-edge display, according to Notebook Check.
It was also noted that the device would be getting DCS and that it will be getting a new primary camera as well as a large battery. However, specifics as to what camera it would be getting or what battery capabilities the device would be getting.
Oppo A2 Already Received TENAA Authority
It was also specified that the TENAA images of the upcoming phone reveal that it would be featuring a round camera module. It was also noted that the phone would be getting an under-display fingerprint sensor, to make it easier for users to access their device.
As for the performance and overall standing, the A2 is expected to surpass the Oppo A1, which debuted in April 2023. As of press time, it was noted that the Oppo A2 already received TENAA authority, which means that the upcoming device could debut in China very soon.
As to how soon it could drop, the article by Gizmo China specifies that the Oppo A2 could launch as early as August. However, this remains to be seen and it's still ultimately up to Oppo regarding when the smartphone would launch.

Previous Oppo A1 Specs
When it comes to the previous model, the Oppo A1, as spotted on GSM Arena, it was noted that it featured a 6.72-inch LCD panel and comes with an FHD+ resolution. It was also noted that the device comes with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
As for the operating system, the device reportedly runs with the ColorOS 13.1-based Android 13 and on top of this, it comes with its very own side-facing fingerprint scanner. With regards to the previous model's under-the-hood specifications, it's expected to come with a Snapdragon 695 chipset.
Aside from that, there would be two variations of the device, the first would have 8 GB RAM as well as 256 GB storage while the second option would have 12 GB RAM and the same amount of storage. When it comes to the battery and charging, the device would pack a 5,000 mAh battery as well as 67W fast charging.
The Oppo A1 also had a 50 MP plus 2 MP dual-camera system.
