Nintendo Switch Online's Game Boy Color Adds Two Zelda Games

In its latest announcement, Nintendo said it will release two classic Game Boy Color games for its Switch Online members. The announcement highlighted the back-to-back release of "The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages" and "The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons."

Gamers would be able to switch from one Zelda game to the other, as all three have similar control schemes to help them on their adventures. Both titles from Nintendo, released in 2001, featured the iconic travels of Link and were two of the last releases for the Game Boy Color.

What to Expect From These Two Iconic Zelda Games

The two classic Zelda games feature a different experience from Game Boy's "The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX," having different central themes and plots.

The Oracle of Ages game focuses on Link traveling to the land of Labrynna. Link was transported there via the powers of the Triforce, with the game leaning heavily on time travel.

On the other hand, The Oracle of Seasons is about Link's adventure to save the lovely dancer Din, who the foul General Onox kidnapped.

Nintendo Switch Online and its Offers

Apart from its present-day game DLCs offered via the Switch Online membership, Nintendo has taken further steps in expanding the experience on its console, initially adding earlier console games.

First was the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) for the basic tier. Next, the company also added the Nintendo 64 (N64) and the SEGA Genesis, which was placed on the higher tier, Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack.

Later on, it added the iconic handhelds of the company with the Game Boy Color for the basic and the Game Boy Advanced for the Expansion Pack.

Many young and seasoned gamers were happy to play the retro goodies from Nintendo, making it one of the most iconic releases from the company.

In the past months and years, Nintendo has released new games on different consoles, and now it is focused on releasing the Game Boy's "The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages" and "The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons."
