Elon Musk Slams Barbie: 'You Will Pass Out Before The Movie Ends'

The Twitter CEO did not hold back.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, has joined the ensemble of critics slamming the most recent "Barbie" film for its constant emphasis on the "patriarchy."

Barbie, a box office hit, earned $155 million domestically on its opening weekend, but its woke message has drawn criticism, particularly from conservatives.

On Twitter, Elon Musk did not hesitate to express disgust for the movie. He twitted, "If you take a shot every time Barbie says the word 'patriarchy,' you will pass out before the movie ends."

Musk is well-known for his vehement opposition to the "woke" movement and identified it as one of the biggest dangers to contemporary civilization. The tech mogul believes being politically aware suppresses comedy and promotes exclusion and division, according to The Daily Wire.

Elon Musk is Not The Only One Dismayed on 'Barbie'

Conservative politicians have also criticized the movie's depiction of male and female relationships and the girl power theme. The film's "insidious man-hating message," according to conservative analyst Lauren Chen, who also charged the studios with hiding the movie's "woke" nature in their marketing.

In a 43-minute critique of the movie, Daily Wire Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro expressed his displeasure with its feminist overtones and repeated usage of the term "patriarchy."

Even the wife of Florida Representative Matt Gaetz requested a boycott after being dissatisfied with Barbie's alleged disregard for feminine empowerment, family values, and religion, according to Daily Mail.

The infamous "nine-dash line," which Chinese officials employ to establish their enormous territorial claims in the South China Sea and may encompass up to 90% of the region, is shown on a crayon map in the movie, prompting outrage from Republicans.

Senator Ted Cruz and Representative Mike Gallagher are among those who have spoken out against this image, accusing Hollywood of supporting Chinese Communist Party propaganda.

Republicans may have criticized the movie, but Barbie has also received praise from reviewers and viewers alike for its overall message and presentation style.

Experts Warn on Barbie-related Scams Online

Meanwhile, con artists are also taking advantage of the popularity of the Barbie movie to target moviegoers with malicious links, fake videos offering free tickets, and other deceptive methods to steal personal information and access bank accounts, as per a report from the New York Post.

Security professionals are already cautioning about internet criminals taking advantage of the movie's success to steal personal data from unwary audiences. According to McAfee, a software security company, in the last three weeks, 100 cases of malware with "Barbie-related filenames" were found, with 37% coming from the US.

Scammers are using various strategies to trick spectators as they attempt to profit from the movie's popularity. One way to steal personal information and conduct identity theft is by using malware posing as movie downloads, Barbie-related infections, and phony videos giving free tickets.

Experts advise viewers to use caution and vigilance while interacting with Barbie-related web material. Do not click on shady links, and do not provide critical information without first checking the reliability of the sources.
