The hype around iPhone 15 is building up as fans expect the upcoming models to drop in the next few months. However, this is not yet guaranteed to happen since production delays are plaguing its impending release.
Apple needs to make a swift decision to address the issue and a poll created by 9to5Mac could put an end to this misery.
iPhone 15 Availability Poll
With many reports pointing to the limited availability of iPhone 15 upon launch, some people think that the products shouldn't be rushed as-is.
Amid challenges when it comes to production delays, the Cupertino giant needs to step up in proposing a viable solution for the problem.
While rumors about iPhone 15 specs keep coming, there's no assurance if any of them are true. Take them with a grain of salt since the leakers are not reliable enough to believe in.
Based on what happened with the iPhone 14 and iPhone 12, there are only two scenarios for Apple. It's a hit-or-miss for the company which hopes to introduce the handsets soon.
As we witnessed with iPhone 12, the COVID-19 pandemic aggravated its release and Apple was left to delay it until the next quarter. The four iPhone models were already available at the time, but only two of them managed to debut on time.
The standard variant and the Pro model were released on October 23. Meanwhile, the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max came out in mid-November.
Likewise, the delay was also seen on iPhone 14. Specifically, the standard model and the two Pro models were put on sale by September. However, the iPhone 14 Plus was delayed for a month.
For this part, 9to5Mac proposed two choices that the iPhone maker might want to make.
- First, the iPhone 15 models can be sold in September, but their shipment is still not guaranteed because of the lengthy delays.
- Second, Apple could hold off the orders for iPhone 15 until October. This could go well with prompt shipping.
If Apple chooses option number one, some customers might immediately get their iPhones on the first day. However, it does not mean that others will receive the same treatment. Some customers might wait for weeks before receiving the new handsets.
iPhone 15 is not the only model to be postponed. Even the redesigned iPhone SE 4 is rumored to be delayed until 2025, per Tech Times.
iPhone 15 is Blasted With Rumors
From Lightning to USB-C, Apple might reveal the new charging port, steering away from the traditional setup.
According to HT Tech, the Cupertino tech giant is expected to break the long-time trend in its charging port since the launch of the iPhone 5. If this is the case, Apple might be following the path of Android smartphones.
