The latest trending image on social media is an almost destroyed missile, and it was identified as "Storm Shadow" which belonged to the United Kingdom and was given to Ukraine to address their needs. It was taken down by Russian forces and was captured by the country, and while already mostly destroyed, it will still be a great source of intel for the Eurasian country.

The British Storm Shadow missile is one of the most advanced cruise missiles in the world, and it is currently the longest-range weapon on Ukraine's armaments.

A report from CRUX shows footage of a taken-down missile that is now in the possession of the Russian military, showing the Storm Shadow missile destroyed and grounded. The British missile is one of the most crucial and advanced weapons in Ukraine's arsenal, and this came from its Su-24 "Fencer" jets that use launch pylons from retired RAF Tornados.

This is a crucial advancement for Russia, as obtaining a military technology like this has massive effects on their forces and gaining an upper hand against Ukraine.

According to Interesting Engineering, the Storm Shadow was either taken down by the Russian military or malfunctioned on its flight, resulting in the crash. The only remaining intact piece is its fuselage.

UK's Gift to Ukraine: The Longest-Range Missiles

The United Kingdom gave Ukraine this weapon in hopes of them using it for their needs and advancements in this ongoing conflict. It was also considered by the British military that it might get into the hands of the Russians because of its long-range capabilities that can infiltrate remote locations.

Russia has long shown its aggression and hostility against Ukraine and the countries that help them as the invasion is still the goal for the Eurasian countries. The latest circulating images on social media regarding the British missile given to Ukraine is a massive loss for the attacked country, and now, Russia has access to it to learn about it and utilize it to their advantage.
