[UPDATE] Is Threads Crashing on Your End When You Post a Photo? Here's the Fix

Many users have reported that Threads crashes when attempting to attach a photo to a post. This issue seems puzzling considering that the Threads feed is filled with posts containing photos.

However, as reported by 9to5Mac, the cause of this problem lies in the usage of iOS 17 beta, an unreleased version of the operating system.

Instagram's team likely rushed the release of Threads to meet demand, resulting in the app lacking certain expected core functionalities. Therefore, it is understandable that it may not run perfectly on iOS 17 beta on its initial day.

How to Fix Crashing Threads App?

For those who are struggling with this problem, you can simply copy and paste the photo you want to post on your Threads feed. This works by searching for an imae and copying it to the clipboard of your device.

If you want to post a photo on Threads, find the desired image and copy it to your device's clipboard. Afterward, you can open the Threads post composer and paste the photo without encountering any app crashes.

For Mac users, there's an additional option available. Utilizing the Universal Control feature, which allows seamless interaction between devices under the same iCloud account, you can copy images from your Mac and paste them directly into Threads for posting.

While this workaround may not be the ideal solution, it serves as a temporary fix until an update for Threads is released on the App Store. The update is expected to address the crashing bug specifically for users on iOS 17.

Other Threads Issues Surfacing on its Launch Day

Another article by Piunika Web notes that there are still other problems that Threads users encountered on the app during its launch.

Some people reported that their Instagram accounts are suddenly getting logged out after entering Threads. Other users complained that the posts in the feed are not arranged in chronological order while there are also some who couldn't see the dark mode.

As Threads starts its journey as an official nemesis of Twitter, Mark Zuckerberg has many surprises that will awaken every fiber on Elon Musk's body. Just recently, he posted a Spiderman meme which sparks debate that Threads accepts the challenge of becoming a better Twitter copycat.
