Let's face it. This Sunday's Super Bowl has gone to the dogs.
GoDaddy has already pulled its Super Bowl commercial after outrage over its suggestion of puppy mills. Budweiser released its adorable Super Bowl commercial today, which has gotten a much better reception. And let's not forget about Animal Planet's Puppy Bowl, the network's annual televised event where we watch puppies play football. No joke.
Speaking of the Puppy Bowl, Uber is now making the event even more ridiculously awesome by bringing puppies to users in select cities across the country. If you live in Atlanta, Baltimore, Cleveland, Dallas, Denver, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Seattle or Washington, D.C., you can have a whole team of UberPups at your door to help get you in the spirit.
This promotion is for today only, and Uber will only bring the puppies to your place of work. So if that sounds good to you, open your Uber app today, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., select the "PUPPIES" option and an Uber driver will soon bring a bunch of puppies to your office. You get 15 minutes with these pups, so make it count.
The visit costs $30, which will be donated directly to a participating animal organization in your city. In most cities, you can also adopt a puppy right on the spot. How great is that?
This isn't the first time Uber has delivered critters to its users on demand. In honor of National Cat Day last October, Uber brought kittens to users to a few cities across the country. If Uber decided to make these services an annual thing, I'd certainly be OK with that.
