The Spotify PC experience is about to get better.

The Spotify experience for desktops and PCs recently received a major overhaul from the company, centering on a UI upgrade that changes the ways to stream on computers.

For the Record announced the latest changes to Spotify's PC experience for all of its platforms, centering on a UI upgrade that refreshes the audio streaming company's offers. For one, the app would feature three main parts on the home page, with the layout featuring more of its side tabs available to the public.

Spotify said that it retained the design for the central hub, the one where the user's feed, recommended songs, recently opened albums, and more are situated. The player on the bottom remains in its place, but the right-hand side of the desktop view will anchor a "Now Playing" feature that will display additional information about the song, artist, upcoming tours, or merch for the public.

Additionally, the left side's "Your Library" also gets a spotlight for better access to one's saved Playlists, collections, Podcasts, and more.

What to Expect on the Spotify PC UI Upgrade?

Engadget said that Spotify highly regarded its mobile app to be its desktop's main inspiration, so that PC users with either the app or web platforms may have a more intuitive and controlled experience, based on their preferences.

Your Library and Now Playing's larger and anchored positioning aims to make one's Spotify experience better, with more focus on their audio listening experience and managing their feeds. The Friends Activity that was previously on the right-hand side of the app is now available on the top right page, hidden under an icon beside one's profile.

Spotify and its Streaming Platform

Despite the many problems and issues present with Spotify now, it remains one of the top audio streaming platforms in the world, and among the originals for subscription-based music offers. Artists may freely create profiles on the platforms and upload their music, but it is a different conversation for Spotify when it comes to AI-made ones.

The company recently went on a purge to remove AI-generated songs on the streaming platform, still centering on tunes made by humans, concerning their artists.

Spotify also recently had a revamp of its mobile apps as it centers to feature a TikTok-like experience on the app, with several app navigation experiences resembling the famed social media. The revamp comes as a significant way to change how people browse and discover their feeds, along with the Smart Shuffle feature, and more.

The latest changes on Spotify center on making the experience better, including a speculated "Supremium" tier coming soon that will offer HiFi better than its current quality. The desktop revamp is massive, especially as Spotify aims to offer a more intuitive design and UI for its subscribers, bringing a fresh experience for all.
