Right before the "One More Thing" announcement from Tim Cook relating to the Vision Pro, Apple revealed the latest features coming to the watchOS 10 that usher in a new era for the Apple Watch. In their announcement, the company revealed an iconic change for the wearable and it is with the lifestyle update for the Apple Pay app.

The tech will allow users to use its "Add Card" button directly on the smartwatch that will no longer require an iPhone to bring users' card details to the watch.

With this button, users may add the card directly to their Apple Watches to store their payment information and use it for their next cashless transactions in stores.

Apple's New Features for the watchOS 10

The Apple Watch is getting a massive upgrade for the devices eligible to update on the latest version of its OS, and it is frankly one worth downloading to access a variety of new features for the device.

First off, it will receive a massive overhaul for its UI that will help incorporate more widgets on the wearable, a feature that it greatly featured in the past. Moreover, it is focusing greatly on lifestyle features including tracking and monitoring tech connected to different experiences on the watch.

Apple Watch's Development

The Apple Watch has been a valuable device for the Cupertino giant for already eight years now since Tim Cook and the company first revealed it in 2015. Since then, the Apple Watch went on to have massive features from its years of development from the company, with the watchOS 10 being the latest system to bring significant changes.

The latest update for wearable technology was unveiled at WWDC 2023, and it already featured some of its top techs that Apple has worked on over the past year to make this change meaningful. It is indeed one of the most significant updates for the Apple Watch including a new UI that will help refresh the experience, alongside new widget features, and monitoring tech.

Apple Watch's promising update is soon arriving later this year, and alongside this suite of new features is the update to the wearable's Apple Pay where users may add cards directly. It may be more of a challenge to do this for the Watch that has smaller screen, but this means that users do not need to rely on the iPhone as much as before.
