Just a few hours after landing in Beijing, the Tesla CEO met with the Chinese Foreign Minister Gang. They discussed the plans of Elon to further expand Tesla's business in China and he is against "decoupling."

According to Business Insider, Elon Musk has been called "Brother Ma" ever since he landed in Beijing.
Many top ministers from the Chinese government's industry, commerce, and foreign departments greeted the billionaire.
Because he is a highly-valued individual in China, Musk received a 5-star welcome comparable to how Jack Ma, Alibaba Group's co-founder, is treated.
Even residents were excited about the arrival of Elon. They even conducted a survey on Weibo to see which food is the best one to be served to the billionaire.
The viral poll generated over 13,000 votes; options include the street snack "tang halu," the mung bean dish "douzhi," as well as the Peking duck.
In the end, Elon Musk was served a 16-course meal, which he shared with battery executive Zeng Yuqun; they feasted at the Man Fu Ya restaurant.
