Bandai Namco has officially apologized for a recent event that accidentally leaked a new character for the upcoming release of "Tekken 8." Even before the official launch, a character, Bryan Fury, was shown.
Public Witness the Accidental Character Introduction in 'Tekken 8'
According to the story by Games Radar, developers, and publishers should remain vigilant when it came to revealing rosters of a game before its official announcement. This was because recently, a gameplay video was shown that revealed more than it initially should.
The gameplay video was released, and it showed Bryan Fury, a new character in the upcoming "Tekken 8" game. Despite the publisher frantically taking the game down, the damage was already done and the public had already seen the accidental reveal.
Michael Murray's Admission of Misalignment with Katsuhiro Harada's Vision
Although the reveal was taken down, screenshots had already been shared across the internet and according to TheGamer, Michael Murrey, a producer of the game, publicly apologized for what had happened.
Michael Murrey took to Twitter to apologize to the fans when he saw what had happened and the effects of what he had done. He also admitted that his actions weren't what director Katsuhiro Harada wanted to take place.
He then shared how what he had did made him feel bad, especially since it resulted in the dev team needing to come in to work during the weekends for them to fix what had happened.
Harada's Previous Cautionary Words Regarding Timed Posts
A tweet by Harada showed how the director took the leak, and although it was taken down, screenshots of the happening can still be seen on Reddit. The director said that he had warned against posting on a timer years ago, but despite that, the leak happened.
He ended his remarks with, "I'm going home now thanks! Hahaha." Although the backlash from the director to the situation, some could take this as a confirmation that the gameplay trailer was indeed legitimate and that Bryan Fury was seen in the video.
Fans Rejoice as Tekken 8 Implements Highly Requested Feature
Recently, the "Tekken 8" director reportedly confirmed other things regarding the title's gameplay. This includes the rollback netcode, character numbers, and even the available cross-play feature.
Katsuhiro Harada, the creative lead of the game, also answered questions coming from followers regarding the upcoming "Tekken 8" game. This included information that the game would be getting a feature that fans wanted in "Tekken 7," the cross-play.

Katsuhiro Harada Compares the Game's Evolution to Dark Souls
Ever since the previous "Tekken 7," fans have long been requesting for a feature called "cross-play." However, it was never able to reach the actual game. Developers have decided to bring that long-requested feature but in the new game, "Tekken 8."
Harada has also made remarks, comparing the upcoming "Tekken 8" game with the "Dark Souls" game. The report by Games Radar notes that this would then dispute the notion that the game would be more complex and complicated.
