For someone with a limited budget, choosing a great vacuum can be tricky sometimes. Some expensive ones offer premium features yet it does not mean that they are better than far cheaper options out there.

Dyson, for instance, offers a bang for your buck with a myriad of robovacs to choose from. According to TechCrunch, the company announced on the morning of May 24 that Dyson 360 Vis Nav is the newest robot cleaner that boasts impressive suction power like no other.

With iRobot also offering high-quality Roomba vacuums, it can be a mind game to choose what's best for you. To make sure that it will stay afloat and outstanding in the competition, Dyson brings more features to its new product that we could not see from other competitors.

Dyson proudly touts that the 360 Vis Nav features a suction power twice the power of other robovacs. Simply put, it's interesting to note that it also has a fish-eye lens for wide viewing of the room that it's cleaning. The 360-degree camera is what makes the most out of it.

When it comes to the motor, it can go for a speed of 110,000 RPM which is an upgrade from the previous model's 78,000 RPM, according to Engadget.

Additionally, it boasts a triple-action brush bar that suits the cleaning of various surfaces. For carpets, it uses nylon bristles while for hard floors, it utilizes soft nylon. If it's all about fine dust, the anti-static carbon fiber filaments will be enough.

Dyson is Serious in Robotics Research

Back in 2022, several reports said that Dyson was looking for a way to improve its edge in robotics technology. Now, it has come to fruition that it's indeed invested in research as it added a huge lab in Singapore.

To be exact, Dyson wanted to be a forerunner in the field of home robots. It hoped to incorporate the expertise in its robot vacuums and other smart home cleaners.

"Robotics, sensing, intelligence, these are all areas that are typically considered 'future technology' but at Dyson, they have long been part of product development. Our engineers have, and continue, to employ these technologies to reduce the cognitive burden on our owners, saving time, energy, and effort in maintaining a healthy home - a true set-and-forget mindset," CTO John Churchill said.

The Dyson 360 Vis Nav robovac will be debuting in Australia before arriving in the US later this year. By the time it becomes available in Australia, you can purchase it for $AUD 2,399 or about $1,590. There's no announcement yet about its US pricing.

Aside from this vacuum, Dyson also announced a cordless vacuum dubbed Dyson Submarine. According to Mashable, this equipment has two water tanks that serve different purposes. The first tank is for dirty water while the second one is for clean water.
