iPhone-Windows 11 syncing is now possible, thanks to the new Phone Link app version.
For some iOS users, this enhancement may not seem much. But, for Microsoft, it is a big deal for its business.
Via its official blog post, Microsoft confirmed that the new Phone Link app is rolling out on Windows 11.
The tech giant company added that it will be available to users across the globe; in 39 languages across 85 markets.
iPhone-Windows 11 Syncing Now Possible
According to CNBC's latest report, being able to sync iPhone and Windows 11 is a big deal for Microsoft.
This is because the software giant wants to eliminate the barrier for computer buyers who would prefer having a Mac.
In 2022, Apple Mac models were able to cover 10% of global PC shipments. The remaining percentage was overwhelmed by Windows PCs.
If Microsoft's new move is to make Windows 11 compatible with iPhones, then there's a chance that the Windows PC could further cover even more PC shipments this 2023.
"We know that being able to effortlessly connect to friends and family during important times is critical so we've taken a conservative approach to launching this update," said Microsoft via its official blog post.
What's In It for iPhone Users?
The new Phone Link app version allows iPhone users to sync their devices to their Windows 11 PCs.
This means that you can send iMessage text messages using your Windows computer. You will also receive iPhone notifications on your PC.
However, the Phone Link for iPhone has limitations. These include the inability to send messages in group chats.
Aside from this, the new version can't send images, and voice messages on the iMessage app.
Although this is the case, this new enhancement can still benefit iPhone users. To learn more about it, you can click this link.
Aside from the latest Phone Link app for iPhones, Microsoft is also doing other major efforts to improve its business.
Recently, the new Microsoft-AMD partnership, which is expected to boost the software giant's AI tech, was announced.
Meanwhile, the new Windows 11 Settings Menu Ads is now tested by Microsoft.
