TikTok has launched a go-to destination for new music.

TikTok, the popular short-form video app, has introduced its latest feature called the #NewMusic Search Hub, creating a dedicated space for artists worldwide to present their new songs and for fans to explore and discover their next favorite track.

This app has been renowned for its viral dances and is particularly attractive to younger users. It has also challenged the music industry's popularity-making machine as virality in the app helped up-and-coming artists to establish their names.

Go-to Destination for New Music

The newly introduced hub aims to serve as a primary destination for music enthusiasts, shining a spotlight on new releases and simplifying the process for fans to stay updated on the latest tracks from emerging talents as well as established artists

In celebration of the launch of the #NewMusic Search Hub, TikTok has partnered with acclaimed musicians, namely the Jonas Brothers and Miguel. The Jonas Brothers have been creating a buzz on the platform, building excitement for their latest album titled "The Album".

"It has been so cool to see people around the world making content with our music. TikTok is allowing us to connect with our fans and reach new ones in an exciting way," the Jonas Brothers said in a statement with TikTok.

Their single, "Waffle House," has become a sensation on TikTok, amassing an incredible 1.1 billion views and continuing to climb.

Joining in the festivities on TikTok is the widely acclaimed R&B sensation, Miguel, renowned for his chart-topping hits such as "Adorn" and "All I Want Is You."

Miguel's 2011 smash hit, "Sure Thing," has recently experienced a remarkable resurgence on TikTok, courtesy of a sped-up rendition that sparked a frenzy within the platform, resulting in over 4 million video creations.

This unexpected revival on TikTok propelled the track back onto the Billboard Hot 100 chart and secured an impressive position of #10 on the UK charts, more than a decade after its initial release.

Miguel has been actively engaging with the TikTok community by sharing acoustic renditions of his songs, providing sneak peeks of his upcoming track, "Give It To Me," and offering insights into the story behind the popular track, "Sure Thing."

18 Billion Views

TikTok has firmly established itself as a hub for music discovery, and the #NewMusic tag has already accumulated an astonishing 18 billion views and counting on the platform.

This hashtag has evolved into a go-to destination for new releases and exclusive previews directly from artists worldwide, who choose TikTok as the platform to unveil their latest singles.

It has emerged as the primary avenue for fans to be the first to experience chart-topping hits like Sam Smith and Kim Petras's chart-topping track "Unholy," Charlie Puth's "Light Switch," and Ed Sheeran's "Eyes Closed."

Remarkably, these songs have garnered over 1 million video creations even before their official release, thanks to the engagement of TikTok users.
