A new iPhone battery drain issue has been affecting many Apple users after iOS 16.4.1a arrived.
Affected iOS smartphone owners shared their complaints on Twitter and other social media platforms. Many of them said that their iPhone battery units dropped by 22% in just 46 minutes of usage.
Others complained that their iOS smartphone's power lost 30% after 30 minutes.
Aside from the battery drain issue, iPhone owners also experience overheating issues. Because of these problems, numerous Apple consumers are now considering ditching iPhones for good.
New iPhone Battery Drain Issue Appears After iOS 16.4.1a Arrives!
According to the Daily Mail UK's latest report, the latest iPhone battery drain and overheating issues are allegedly caused by the iOS 16.4.1a update.
"Bro, this last IOS update is actually BLEEDING my battery," said one of the affected iOS smartphone users.
Another iPhone owner tagged the official Apple Support Twitter account on his tweet. He said that ever since the release of iOS 16.0.1 and the latest update, iOS 16.4.1a, iPhones have suffered from device overheating and battery drains.
The iPhone complained that Apple should already know these problems by now, and yet the company hasn't made any efforts to fix these issues.
CNET reported that the new iOS 16.4.1a is Apple's first iPhone Rapid Security Response update. It provides important security fixes, which are really recommended for all users.
Because of this, many experts concluded that this latest update triggers lots of changes within the iPhone's software. This means that it will require a lot of power to complete all the updates.
Why iOS 16.4.1a Consumes Lots of Power?
The latest iOS 16.4.1a is not the only iOS software update that requires lots of battery power. Tech experts stated that new iOS software versions would install lots of changes on an iPhone. Some of them could take hours or even days just to complete the entire change.
Aside from software changes, new iOS versions also tend to recalibrate iPhone batteries. This could give the impression that the battery is draining more rapidly than usual.
However, if the battery drain problem lasts for weeks, then it is definitely an issue that should be resolved by Apple.
