The latest Pixel smartphone is coming differently, as it folds in half to give users more screen space, centering on Google's Pixel Fold that it officially announced earlier today. The company only provided a teaser for its latest folding smartphone but it brings significant information for its future smartphone plans that extends to a new display for all.
Its confirmation of the Pixel Fold today marks a new direction for Google as it finally ventures towards folding touch screens that move away from its exclusive focus on flat smartphones.
Google Pixel Fold is Finally Here, Confirmed by the Company
In a surprise drop by Google, the Pixel Fold smartphone was officially confirmed by the company via its listing in the Google Store, detailing a teaser that shows off what it can do. This is the first time that Google confirmed the existence of its foldable device, one that features the camera design, body, and other distinguishing features of the original Pixel lineup.
From what was unveiled in the teaser video, it will have two screens, one on the outer part of the device for when the smartphone is folded, and one on the inner part that features its expanded state.
The teaser also showed how it runs on the latest Android with the Material You theme present, but did not reveal much of how its user interface works.

What to Expect from the Pixel Fold?
Google did not reveal much in the teaser, particularly with the new apps developed for the Pixel Fold, or its specs that power the device, but it is one important release from the company that reveals the future of its smartphone lineup.
It was intentional that the Mountain View giant did not reveal much of its release, as it plans to launch the Pixel Fold come I/O 2023, inviting fans to know more by May 10.

Since 2021, the world has encountered talks about the Google Pixel Fold as insiders, data miners, and speculators have caught a whiff of the different information surrounding this new smartphone from the company. And for a long time, Google has dodged the many questions and requests from fans to reveal the foldable device.
As much as two years have already passed since the industry first talked about the Google foldable smartphone, and there have been many delays to this confirmation and delivery. It also faced comparisons to existing foldable smartphones in the market including Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold4, OPPO's Find N2, and other devices.
Google's Pixel may be entering the foldable market late in the game, but this does not mean it is immediately behind as it would deliver the latest from the company's development and bring more than what meets the eye. For now, the public gets a teaser of the device, but all information and answers to the many questions surrounding it would arrive by May 10.
