World of Warcraft will soon kick off its May celebration with the annual Children's Week event and a refresh at the Trading Post. Announced earlier today, the Children's Week event will begin on May 1st and continue to May 8th.
Taking an Orphan On Your Adventures: Unlocking Mounts and Earning Rewards
According to the story by MMORPG, this event is open to any level 10 and above character and will be slightly different for World of Warcraft Classic players.
During Children's Week, players can take an orphan with them on their adventures around Azeroth, complete quests, and even take a protégé on their adventures for rewards and achievements.
Orphans will also have unlocked mounts to help players get around more easily. After completing various quests during the event, players will earn Trader's Tender, which can be used at the Trading Post, and a new pet to add to their collection.
Rewards and Achievements From Completing Children's Week Questlines
Unsurprisingly, this May's World of Warcraft celebration celebrates Children's Week,m as announced on the official Blizzard website. This brings with it exciting chances to embark on quests and activities with an orphan in tow and earn rewards, achievements, and even a pet through the completion of the various Children's Week questlines.
During this event, players level 10 and up can take an orphan with them on their journeys around Azeroth to complete various tasks and gain rewards, the most noteworthy being Traders Tender - which can later be used in the Trading Post.
Completing the questlines will allow players to gain a few pets, depending on the specific orphan questline finished. Some of these will be non-uniques, so if you already own them, do not despair, as there is a Pet Care Package that rewards players with several items related to pets; among these are the pug costumes.

In the Trading Post, various new items await players, including weapons, Grimskull belts, clothing items, and pets. The pet available this month is Pippin, a robot dog, and the monthly bonus prize is a Savage Green Battle Turtle mount.
