BlueSky is seeing prominence in its operations now, and this is because of the new experience it brings, as well as it is the one that resembles Twitter but is not rid of what Elon Musk has imposed throughout the past six months. There are renowned names from Twitter who have already made their way at BlueSky, including the likes of Dril, AOC, and more.

This new migration to the Jack Dorsey co-founded company is a massive problem for Twitter, as more and more users are dropping out of the platform, including massive entities like news agencies and more.

In recent months, there has been a significant increase in the number of users joining the new social media platform, BlueSky. This platform has been gaining popularity, as reported by Bloomberg, as more users look for alternatives to Twitter, which has been plagued by controversy and boycotts in the past.

Last Wednesday and Thursday was significant time for BlueSky, as it saw the biggest user spike since it opened its beta.

One of the most notable users to join BlueSky is the popular comedian Dril, who has a massive following on Twitter. Dril has been a vocal critic of Twitter in the past and has been looking for an alternative platform where he can share his content without fear of censorship or backlash.

Another high-profile user to join BlueSky is New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. AOC has been a vocal critic of Twitter in the past, with several run-ins with Musk during his early days on Twitter concerning verification. Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn is another prominent user joining the platform.

Despite its Prominence Now, BlueSky is Still in Beta Testing

According to Ars Technica, there is still a concern for BlueSky's platform as it has no way to verify the identity or legitimacy of an account as of now, as it is still in beta.

It already serves as a significant rival to Twitter, and in a previous blog post, CEO Jay Graber said that BlueSky's design is how the short-word social media "could have been built," using independent servers instead of company servers.

BlueSky vs. Twitter: Battle of the Short Word Social Media

BlueSky is still in its beta form, but it has been gaining popularity as more users look for alternatives to Twitter. The platform is based on blockchain technology and is designed to be decentralized, which means that a single entity or corporation does not control it.

Being a decentralized platform makes BlueSky an attractive alternative to Twitter, which has been criticized in the past for its centralized operations and lax approach to user privacy and security.

The rise of BlueSky is a significant development in the world of social media, with the new platform gaining popularity as more users look for alternatives to Twitter, which issues have plagued in the past. More users will try to join BlueSky, but it is currently limited to invites in its beta form, and interested users may have to wait to get the same Twitter experience but with a different operation.
