'Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0' has just leveled up with the release of its newest mode, Plunder. Activision has announced that Plunder will now feature new Buy Station items, public events, and permanent rewards, Eurogamer.net reports.
Plunder Your Way to Victory
The mode, which was first introduced with the previous edition of 'Call of Duty: Warzone,' is a squad-based, respawn-enabled game where Cash is king.
The game's goal is for squads to collect the most Cash in the shortest amount of time possible, including an overtime period whenever a team reaches $2 million in Cash. The winning squad is the one with the most Cash at the end of the game.
Plunder mode allows players to gain Cash by eliminating enemies, completing contracts, participating in events, and clearing out Strongholds and Blacksites.
Operators can opt to keep their Cash on hand, deposit it using a Cash Deposit Helipad located anywhere on the map, or purchase and use a Cash Deposit Balloon for mobile transactions.
Cash is also the primary resource for a win condition and may be used to purchase valuable things such as Cash Deposit Balloons, Killstreaks, powerful weaponry, and other fresh rewards at Buy Stations.
What's New with Plunder 2.0?
According to the most recent Call of Duty blog, Plunder 2.0 will include changes to the in-game event system, new Buy Station items, and permanent rewards.
Players can now experience several events throughout a Plunder match, such as Blood Money, which allows players to win two times the cash by eliminating and looting operators during a Blood Money event.
Cannon Fodder, Contractor, and Choke Hold are some of the other events. Multiple events can occur in a single match, some of which are better witnessed firsthand.
More from Plunder 2.0
Plunder 2.0 brings additional Buy Station features in addition to the events. Players may save extra money using the official Bank of Adal Quickscope Card, which provides 10% cash back on all purchases. No application or Ranked Skill Division Credit Score is required, only a nominal introductory Cash cost.
For a small Cash fee, players can also leave a legacy until they respawn by purchasing Life Insurance. This enables them to save half of their Cash on hand when they are eliminated.

Finally, whether players are casually playing matches or searching for every last reward in Warzone 2.0, Plunder offers nine unique rewards at its launch for completing challenges.
These challenges include winning Plunder matches, eliminating AI Combatants or enemy Operators, or simply playing the game. Rewards from these challenges include a Vehicle Camo, Calling Cards, and more.
Eurogamer notes that Activision will be hoping that the launch of Plunder would add some interest to Warzone 2.0 after the recent launch of Season 3 failed to significantly impact the battle royale. The firm has acknowledged server difficulties that have plagued Warzone 2.0 since the latest season's debut.
