A new project backed by the United States government and the Biden administration is helping renters in America to tap into clean energy despite the restrictions of their rented homes. This is through "Community Solar" which will allow the public to buy clean energy from solar farms and help reduce electricity bills from regular lines.
The US Department of Energy now introduces this to the country, by sharing solar power to offset this nation's dependence on traditional power grids and going to the sustainable route.
Community Solar: Renters in America May Tap into Clean Energy
In a press release by the DOE earlier, it announced that the country has made a massive move and investment towards making "community solar" available for all. This centers on solar farms or institutions that help provide clean energy to the public without the need to install it in their rented homes, as there may be restrictions on this change.
This is under the National Community Solar Partnership which selected 25 teams to participate in the competition in providing the best and most feasible solution for this need.
Instead of requiring residents or landlords to have solar panels available in their buildings or houses, it will relay customers to solar farms and companies that will provide them with the clean energy they need. In turn, renters will pay for the generated electricity which will help cut their costs on paying for electric bills connected to power grids.

Biden Administration's Push for Community Solar
This push for community solar is part of the Biden administration's goals of a 100 percent clean energy electricity grid by 2035, and a carbon-free United States by 2050.
Its long-term goal finds a new partnership with community solar, one that would help accelerate the initiative to all citizens, and not restricted to homeowners only.
Clean Energy in the US
The United States, under President Joe Biden's administration, has seen a massive push towards clean energy and sustainability which first centered on electric vehicles. However, it does not stop there, as the government is seeing new pledges for the 2030 switch to green power, despite the many experts that claim it is not feasible.
From this development, there are several changes to the way the US is dealing with its clean energy switch, including the importing of materials, panels, and other needs for the migration. The Biden administration has already removed the tariff for the next 24 months on clean energy materials imported from Southeast Asia to expedite the plans.
Solar power is now looking at a massive expansion in the country, and different states are already offering better regulation that helps homeowners transition from their reliance on traditional power to clean energy.
However, this is not limited to homeowners only, but also for the renters that live in a home that is not theirs-and instead of installing solar panels as their main source, would have the chance to buy from available community solar providers near them.
