The leaked U.S. military documents revealed something shocking between NATO and Wagner Group (aka PMC Wagner), a Russian paramilitary group.
When the Russia-Ukraine conflict began, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization said that they would support Ukraine.
NATO also even condemned the Russian government because of its aggression towards Ukraine.
However, it seems like NATO and Russia had other ideas before, based on the leaked top-secret U.S. military files.

Based on the leaked files, the PMC Wagner met with some Turkish contacts back in February. During their meetup, the Wagner Group tried to purchase weapons and other war equipment from Turkey.
Experts stated that these weapons were supposed to be used by Wagner mercenaries alongside Russian forces in Ukraine.
The Turkish contacts were not named on the leaked U.S. military files. It is also unclear if the Turkish government was aware of the attempted weapons deal.
Although the weapons transaction didn't push through, the intent of a NATO ally to sell weapons to Russia is still raising concerns in Washington.
The details of the meeting were outlined in the leaked document's section titled "Mali, Russia, Turkey: Vagner seeks weapons from Ankara."
