Samsung Galaxy S24, S24 Plus Leak Hints Storage Boost: Starts at 12 GB RAM?

The Samsung Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus might let users store more videos and games.

Samsung Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus are likely to feature larger internal storage and RAM right off the bat to improve their overall performance.

Although the Galaxy S23 series provides top-notch performance to its users, it looks like Samsung found another aspect that needs improving. In other words, the non-Ultra S24 phones might get a huge upgrade.

Samsung Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus Might Get Larger Storage

According to Sam Mobile, Samsung is potentially looking at improving the hardware specifications of the entry-level Galaxy S24 and the bigger S24 Plus. One of the upgrades that the tech giant is considering is boosting the storage of these two flagship devices.

If ever the renowned phone maker pursues this route, the non-Ultra S24 mobile device is set to be a better performer than its predecessor, the Galaxy S23.

It looks like the South Korean tech giant is not only looking at slightly increasing the storage of its upcoming devices. Instead, it might see a striking upgrade.

A tipster, who goes by Tarun Vats on Twitter, predicts that the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus are getting a huge RAM upgrade compared to the then-outgoing Galaxy S23.

Rumored RAM Specs for Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus

It is worth mentioning that the Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus rocked 8 GB RAM. But this time, the tipster notes that the successors of these phones, the S24 and S24 Plus, might potentially get a bigger option. The upcoming phones are likely to feature 12 GB RAM.

With that, the next-generation Samsung flagship should better handle more power-heavy tasks at the same time, including gaming.

Sam Mobile notes in its report that Samsung previously offered a 12 GB RAM option for non-Ultra Galaxy phones when it debuted the Galaxy S10+. It seems that the South Korean phone maker is planning to bring it back.

On the other hand, the best Galaxy S24 Ultra is most likely offering up to a whopping 16 GB of RAM.

In theory, it should provide better loading speeds and smoother multitasking. However, it remains to be seen if the RAM upgrade would leave any significant performance boost.

Internet Storage Doubles

As for the internal storage, the leaker suggests that the renowned phone maker is upgrading it as well.

Samsung is likely to double the storage capacity of the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus, from 128 GB to 256 GB. It should allow users to store more media files, such as videos and photos. Not to mention that it could hold more games and apps too.

Sad to say, the tech giant has yet to confirm these specs. So do take it with a grain of salt.

Meanwhile, rumor has it that Samsung is planning on dropping its Galaxy S24 Plus variant amid the slow sales of the iPhone 14 Plus.
