For the past months, we have seen a lot of factory-sealed iPhones that are making their way to different auction houses. The latest gadget to be put in a bid is a special Apple handset with a rare "Lucky You" sticker.
According to a report by Apple Insider, at the end of the auction, this product might reach as much as $60,000.
Pristine-Looking 'Lucky You' iPhone at Auction
Wright Auction House announced that the old iPhone from 2007 came from a client of Donald Gajadhar who works at Fox-White Art & Unique Appraisals.
Unlike other first-gen iPhones with sealed boxes, but with no additional accessories, the A1203 model has a rare "Lucky You" sticker that makes it unique for its kind.
"[It] slowly dawned on me when I held [this] boxed Apple cellphone. My client not only had an unopened cellphone, but a truly unique version. A Willy Wonka, '24 karat' Golden Ticket," Gajadhar says.
While it's kept in 10 out of 10 condition inside a box, its shrink wrap is quite flawed with a very little tear.
To prove that its content is not tampered with anything Fox-White Art & Antique Appraisals thoroughly evaluated it through x-ray images.
Based on the observation, the pictures suggest that the original accessories and the iPhone are pristine in condition.
When Will the First Bid For 'Lucky You' iPhone Start
According to 9to5Mac, the first bid for the factory-sealed iPhone begins on Thursday, March 30 at 12:00 PM ET. It will initially be valued at $32,000.
Wright Auction House says that its estimated price can reach between $40,000 to $60,000.
As of writing, no one can explain about the origin of the "Lucky You '' sticker. The Apple logo in red is self-explanatory, but the mystery behind the "Lucky You'' words remains unsolved at the time.
It's possible that the owner of the smartphone only got the 2007 iPhone as a prize from a competition. Another possibility is that it's part of the official Apple promo back in the days.

Previous First-Gen iPhone Auctions
Two weeks ago, Tech Times reported that another first-gen iPhone was sold for $55,00 at an auction. The handset comes with a sealed box, a pamphlet, and an AT&T bag.
The report said that the owner of the device was an Apple employee. He purchased it when the product came out in 2007. Since he's working at a Cupertino firm, he received another phone which he used.
In the end, he did not end up using the sealed iPhone and kept it unopened for many years. He never expected that its price would one day hit roughly $55,000.
Back in February, BBC News reported that another first-gen iPhone was sold at an auction for almost $64,000. According to the owner, the device was a present from her friends in 2007.
