Sad to say, you will have to wait for the next one.

The nostalgic controller is quite hard to come by. As such, it was only briefly available on the My Nintendo Store. It is now sold out.

Nintendo N64 Controller for Switch Restock

According to The Verge, Nintendo recently offered a restock of the sought-after N64 controller for Switch gamers.

Nintendo fans have been eagerly awaiting the return of the iconic N64 controller for the Switch.

Besides its nostalgic vibes, it lets gamers play N64 titles how they should actually be like in the good ol' days. Polygon notes in its report that the highly-coveted controller comes with modern features like USB-C charging and a sync button for Switch.

With these in mind, the demand for the controller is quite high.

The recent restock was available exclusively to the Nintendo store. Unlike the console restocks of the Sony PlayStation 5 (PS5) or the Xbox Series X, which also comes out in other retailers like Amazon and Best Buy, the N64 controller only made it to the My Nintendo Store.

Not to mention that it is exclusive to the subscribers of the gaming service of the Japanese behemoth, the Nintendo Switch Online.

Now Sold Out at My Nintendo Store

But despite these measures, the classical controller for Switch got swept off the shelves in an instant.

It is worth mentioning that previous restocks of the N64 controller ended up like this as well, wherein it got sold out quickly.

Polygon notes that after each restocks, Nintendo fans have to wait for a while before it sees the light of day again. Sad to say, it could likely take weeks or even months until it comes by again.

How to Buy N64 Controller for Nintendo Switch

To get your hands on an N64 controller of Switch, you have to sign in to your Nintendo account, as per The Verge.

And from there, you will have to add it to the cart once it is back in stock, which is pretty much a rare occurrence these days.

Apart from having a Nintendo account, buying the nostalgic controller also requires a Switch Online membership.

How to Subscribe to Nintendo Switch Online

Business Insider notes that a Nintendo Switch Online subscription offers access to various gaming titles, including N64, NES, GameBoy, and SNES classics.

The Expansion Pack tier specifically houses N64 games, selling for $49.99 a month.
