Tarsier Studios, the developer behind the cult classic 'Little Nightmares,' has recently given players a sneak peek at their future horror game, GamesRadar reports.
Tarsier's Twitter account tweeted a teaser image showing a group of beings sitting around a light source in what looks to be a small boat, even more, dwarfed by towering cliffs and vast expense of water.
While the image is dark and difficult to discern, it is unmistakably from the same studio that produced the critically acclaimed "Little Nightmares" series.
A New IP from Tarsier Studios
Fans of the horror game franchise immediately speculated that the teaser hinted at a possible third sequel. On the other hand, Tarsier Studios promptly crushed any hopes for a new installment in the series with their tweet, "New world. Emphasis on new. "
Tarsier also responded to a fan's tweet wondering if the image was a hint at Little Nightmares 3, with a simple no. "Nope. It's our NEW IP," the tweet reads.
Since its initial announcement nearly a year ago, this new horror game has been cloaked in mystery. At that time, the developers teased fans with snippets of the game while remaining cautious not to reveal too much about the project.
The previous teaser trailer from the studio was cryptic and unnerving, providing just fleeting glimpses of what appeared to be a dark, foreboding landscape. "We've been busy," the tweet reads.

While the latest Tarsier teaser does not at all reveal much, it is evident that the studio is hard at work on its new IP. The mood in the image is tight and foreboding, implying that this new horror game will be equally as terrifying as "Little Nightmares."
Fans of the franchise will undoubtedly be eager to discover more about Tarsier's new project, but the studio has remained tight-lipped for now.
In the meantime, GamesRadar writes that Little Nightmares fans will have to settle for the Enhanced Edition of Little Nightmares 2, released in 2021 for PS5 and Xbox Series X.
There has also been speculation about possible DLC for Little Nightmares 2, but Tarsier has yet to confirm anything. But, the studio, GamesRadar reports, indicated via job listings that they were working on "two new games," so there is hope for a Little Nightmares 3 in the future.
