Some Apple Music users are reportedly complaining about the random playlists from other people that are appearing on the streaming platform.
While some are not bothered about the case, others are concerned that this scenario might invade their safety and privacy when using the music app.
Apple Music Bug About Random Playlists
According to a report by MacRumors, a Redditor named adh1003 told the news outlet that an annoying Apple Music bug has been startling many users in the app.
According to him, some of them are worried that many playlists they did not know are randomly popping out of nowhere. He confirmed that it has become a common issue for other users, as well.
Some people complained that their music libraries show songs that they have not added. Others thought that the recent problem is also deleting some tracks they stored inside the cloud.
At the time of writing, it's not yet determined the estimated number of individuals affected by the Apple Music bug. The only thing that is certain at the moment is it has been happening globally.
Furthermore, other users noticed that the mysterious playlists appearing on the app have misspelled words. Some contain strange symbols, letters, emojis, and numbers. This made them think that their device got hacked by anonymous people.
Is it a bug from the Apple Music server?
According to another story by AppleInsider on Wednesday, March 22, it's possible that the glitch is not affecting all Apple Music users on different servers. This means that the bug is only limited to other servers on the platform.
One Reddit user who goes by the name CripplingToaster shares that when he went to his profile to check his playlists, it only showed the original ones and not the random playlists from the library.
Apple Insider writers, at this point, have not yet identified the reason why this is happening on Apple Music. With many complaints that are flooding various discussion forums, the iPhone maker might be planning its next move to solve the issue.
The Cupertino tech giant has not yet dropped an announcement about the issue, but it won't take some time before the company addresses it for its customers.
In the meantime, you can make a copy of your playlists from the Apple Music app by opening it on your device and clicking File. After that, tap Library, then export the playlist.
Speaking of Apple Music, Gadget Hacks reports that a new feature is coming to the app next week. However, it will only be exclusive to the subscribers who purchased either AppleOne, Individual, Student, or Family plan.
Elsewhere, Tech Times previously wrote that the pre-order for the Apple Music Classical app is now underway ahead of its launch on March 28.
