A new Beats Studio Buds Plus is now in the works, Apple's iOS 16.4 beta update disclosed, confirming that a new pair of earbuds is on its way soon.
The "Plus" variant is reportedly an upgraded version of the current Beats Studio Buds. Consumers should expect higher-end features and specs right off the bat.
It might not take long before it debuts as it is now seen in the latest iOS beta update.
Apple is Working on a New Beats Studio Buds
Apple recently released its iOS 16.4 beta update to early testers, bringing bug fixes and additional features.
But on top of these, according to CNET, the latest software release also revealed that the iPhone maker is working on a new pair of Beats earbuds, none other than the Beat Studio Buds Plus.
The iOS 16.4 beta update offers support for the new upgrade version of the Studio Buds.
The Apple-owned Beats has yet to disclose the release date of the new Plus variant. However, given that it already appeared on the latest iOS beta, it might hit the shelves in the next few weeks or months.

Besides confirming that Apple is working on a new pair of Beats earbuds, the iOS 16.4 update also showcases new exciting features.
Mac Rumors notes that it brings VoiceOver support for maps in the Weather app. It also introduces notifications for Safari web apps on the Home Screen. The Duplicates album feature in Photos is also expanding. The update covers the videos and photos on the iCloud Shared Photo Library as well, detecting potentially duplicate copies.
On top of these additions, iOS 16.4 also offers Voice Isolation for cellular calls. With this, users may make their voices clearer by blocking out the ambient noise around them.

What to Expect from Beats Studio Buds Plus
Back to the Beat Studio Buds Plus, The Verge notes that sources close to the matter revealed what we could expect from it.
The news outlet notes that the new "Plus" variant offers a couple of welcome upgrades, usually seen on higher-end earbuds like the AirPods Pro.
It is set to offer improved active noise cancellation, allowing users to block out external noise while they are wearing the earbuds. The transparency mode is also set to get a huge bump.
Essentially, the Plus option offers better overall noise cancellation and transparency features. Given these upgrades, it might be price a bit more expensive.
But do take this with a grain of salt. Beats has yet to announce the specs and the pricing of the Studio Buds Plus.
