‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Warzone 2.0’ Revamps the Flashbang—How?

Flashbangs will blind you differently now.

There is a significant change as to how flashbangs work in "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" and "Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0" and this is up and running in the games. This is accessible through the Settings page of the game, where users will have a chance to set their preference for the flashbang effect in the game, without being too hard on the eyes via the screens.

The revamp to the flashbang is not changing the effects of the bomb exploding nearby and getting affected by it, but rather adapting more to a user's preference to avoid strain.

CharlieIntel shared that the latest update to "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" and "Warzone 2.0" changes how flashbang effects appear on one's screen. Instead of turning white after receiving its effects, users may change it to turning black, one that would help in reducing eye strain when hit with the tactical grenade.

This was a previous request by gamers to Infinity Ward, as per ComicBook Gaming's report, where gamers complained about the white screen that comes in as a surprise.

In this recent update, the developers listened to the public's request and made it available for all to change, but not necessarily changing its effects.

The flashbang's white screen is a known effect in many shooter games in the industry, especially with "Call of Duty."

Here's How to Change the Flashbang's Settings

To change the game's settings on the Flashbang effect, head over to the Advanced Interface setting of the game, and choose the "Inverted Flash" option that will change the white screen.

The black screen would appear whenever getting flashbanged, then transitioning to a fainter white color before showing the normal sight gamers see on "Modern Warfare 2" or "Warzone 2.0."

'Call of Duty' Games in the Present

There are two active "Call of Duty" games released last year, and it receives the latest updates and features from Activision Blizzard and Infinity Ward which brought these to the world. "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" is the more popular title present, and is because it relives the old game released on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox One in 2009.

"MW2" brings the world with the iconic characters of the past with Ghost, Konig, Soap, Hutch John Price, Konig, and more reprising their roles to re-experience the reboot.

However, this is not the same level of enthusiasm for the sequel to "COD's" famous battle royale game, as "Warzone 2.0" experienced negative comments for its DMZ Mode and other features present.

Gameplay and experiences alike, "Call of Duty" remains to be what it introduced to the world in past games, improving on graphics, resolutions, and new game modes to add. In the latest update, it revamps the flashbang's appearance on screens, one that would turn black instead of white to avoid eye strain accessible on the game's setting.
