The next installation from Rockstar Games, "Grand Theft Auto VI," is highly awaited by the public, and leakers are now claiming that there would be an upcoming reveal to the public this year. It has been a decade since its developers released "Grand Theft Auto V" to the world, and it is one of the longest-running games in the market which still does not have any sequel despite being a continuous development.
There are no confirmations yet regarding this, but rumors from a known insider claim the latest information about the new game, with fans also wanting to see what the franchise has to offer next.
'Grand Theft Auto 6' Reveal Allegedly Coming This Year
According to the famous Rockstar insider and leaker, Tez2 over at GTA Forums, there is a possible reveal taking place this year, but would likely happen around the Summer time. The leaker claimed two months where a possible unveiling may take place, and it would either be in June or July or wait for later this year.
The rumor monger also claimed that if not this June or July, it would be by September or October, which is also the same time as "GTA V" and "GTA Online's" 10th anniversary since its release in 2013.
There is also a possibility that this reveal in "GTA Online" may be in the form of a random update, which data miners may explore and find any substantial leads.
Will Rockstar Finally Unveil 'GTA 6?'
ComicBook Gaming also claimed that a previous event and activity over at "Grand Theft Auto Online" was related to another Rockstar game, with links to its other game, "Red Dead Redemption 2."
However, it is important to note that all of the details mentioned in this article and citing Tez2 are all speculations and rumors, and may not be arriving in the future.
Still, it remains a big question for gamers what Rockstar Games plans for in the future, especially with "Grand Theft Auto VI" hanging in the balance.
'Grand Theft Auto Franchise
There are many speculations and leaks surrounding the famous "Grand Theft Auto VI," the rumored sequel that will follow its main franchise release that last arrived in 2013. To let the public know how old "GTA V" is, the game was also offered for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, the older-gen consoles, alongside its remaster for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Rockstar Games recently celebrated the Silver Anniversary of the "GTA" franchise last year, as the company's successful third-person action sandbox game reached 25 years of existence. And while this could have been the perfect time to announce the sequel title, Rockstar has been radio silent for anything about "GTA VI."
Some fans are already starting to lose hope that there would be a continuation of the franchise, especially with a long time since its last release and Rockstar's reluctance to discuss it in public. However, there are still believers that there would be upcoming details and information for the next game, with industry leaders and its online forums still hoping for its official reveal.
