Ford's new EV tech can make four-wheel burnout possible in electric cars!
This innovation was spotted in the automaker's latest patent. If Ford decides to integrate the four-wheel burnout capability, its EV fans can do more tricks with their electric cars.
For those who are not familiar with burnout, it is the act of spinning the wheels while keeping the vehicle stationary.
Camel Tire explained that burnout is commonly done during motorsports and drag racing.

The patent is about the new Heat Tires function, a new technology that allows Ford EVs to do a burnout. However, this one is different from the ones you see on gas-powered vehicles.
Instead of spinning only the rear tires, the Heat Tires feature can spin the back and front wheels in quick succession. This will also lead to the similar smoke effect you see on cars during drag racing.
If you watch the popular "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift," then you already know what its cars look like when they burn out.
Now, how will the new Heat Tires technology benefit Ford EV drivers?
How Will Ford Drivers Benefit From It?
Aside from giving off the cool smoke effect, the Heat Tires also allow your EV's tires to have better traction. This means that your electric car's wheels will have a better grip on the race track or road after doing the burnout.
What makes Ford's burnout version better is that all four wheels will be warmed up, unlike the regular burnout, which only heats up the rear tires.
This will benefit you during high-speed travel, allowing your EV to be more stable even when it's going too fast.
