Boeing MH-139A Helicopter to Replace US Air Force's Fleet for ICBM's Further Protection

It is a better capable chopper from Boeing, to help the US Air Force.

The latest military helicopter from Boeing debuts better capabilities to carry out the United States Air Force's missions to help with its needs in defense and security of the country. Not only that, it is designed to help the air troopers protect the ICBMs better, claiming that this fleet is more affordable as well for Pentagon to purchase.

It is also a great time to introduce this latest military helicopter as the country's current helicopter fleet is old, with the Bell UH-1N Huey choppers serving the Air Force for a long time now.

Boeing announced that it is already beginning its development of the MH-139A "Grey Wolf," its next-generation military helicopter that it would soon deliver to the United States Air Force in a year. This new helicopter boasts better capabilities and features, one that would be particularly defending the country's intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs).

"Advancing the program from testing and evaluation to production is a major step toward entering the MH-139 into service and providing the U.S. Air Force with additional missile security for decades," said Azeem Khan, Boeing's MH-139 program director. "We are working diligently to begin deliveries next year."

The Grey Wolf is capable of bringing better range for the helicopters, also boasting better speeds for the aircraft. Moreover, it is more affordable and brings an increased 5,000-pound max gross weight.

New Helicopter to Replace the US Air Force's Aging Fleet

The new helicopter from Boeing aims to replace the current fleet of the US Air Force, especially as it is an aging one, and has served the troops for a long time now.

Boeing is working on the helo side by side with the Italian defense company, Leonardo.

"Leonardo produces the helicopter at its plant in northeast Philadelphia, while Boeing is responsible for military equipment procurement and installation and post-delivery support of the aircraft."

Military Aircraft Refresh to Bring Better Defense

The United States fleet is not shy to innovation, as it features several advanced technologies or opens up a contract for developers to bring their latest designs to help its fleet bring better capabilities to protect the country. Boeing is also one of its largest manufacturers present, offering their latest designs and technology to bring more power to the country.

There are also plans to bring autonomous flights to the Air Force's fleet, with its recent contract grant to Reliable Robotics to develop a self-flying technology for their aircraft.

USAF centers on many developments for its aircraft which it co-works on or delegates to partner manufacturers to bring different kinds of protection and military advancement for its troops.

The latest military helicopter from Boeing aims to improve the fleet, to bring more cargo, range, and features compared to its existing Huey choppers. Its goal is to expand more of the military's capabilities in protecting specific areas, including its nuclear missile infrastructure, with Boeing offering the latest MH-139A helicopters.
