Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Launches Booster Course Pass DLC with Retro Tracks Remastered

The fourth wave of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass will be available on March 9.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has been a fan favorite for five years now and is still running great. Fans will be thrilled to learn that the Booster Course Pass DLC will bring exciting content to the game.

The DLC will be released in waves, containing two cups with four tracks. In this guide, first shared by NintendoEverything, we will cover all future DLC release dates and tracks.

Release Dates

The first Booster Course Pass DLC wave was released on March 18, 2022. The second wave was made available on August 4, 2022, with the third wave made public on December 7, 2022.

Nintendo has confirmed that the fourth wave will be available on March 9, adding eight more tracks to the game. It even includes an additional playable character, Birdo. Watch the video trailer here:

More waves will be released throughout 2023, with specific dates to be announced later on!

Tracks

The Golden Dash Cup and the Lucky Cat Cup are part of the first wave. Paris Promenade (Tour), Toad Circuit (3DS), Choco Mountain (N64), and Coconut Mall are the tracks for the Golden Dash Cup (Wii). Tokyo Blur (Tour), Shroom Ridge (DS), Sky Garden (GBA), and Ninja Hideaway are the tracks for the Lucky Cat Cup (Tour).

The Turnip Cup and the Propeller Cup are part of the second wave. Turnip Cup tracks include New York Minute (Tour), Mario Circuit 3 (SNES), Kalimari Desert (N64), and Waluigi Pinball (DS). Sydney Sprint (Tour), Snow Land (GBA), Mushroom Gorge (Wii), and Sky-High Sundae are the Propeller Cup tracks (new, added to Tour later).

The Rock Cup and the Moon Cup are part of the third wave. London Loop (Tour), Boo Lake (GBA), Rock Rock Mountain (3DS), and Maple Treeway are the Rock Cup tracks (Wii). Berlin Byways (Tour), Peach Gardens (DS), Merry Mountain (Tour), and Rainbow Road are the tracks for the Moon Cup (3DS).

The Fruit Cup and the Boomerang Cup are part of the fourth wave. Amsterdam Drift (Tour), Riverside Park (GBA), DK Summit (Wii), and Yoshi's Island are the tracks for the Fruit Cup (new). Bangkok Rush (Tour), Mario Circuit (DS), Waluigi Stadium (GameCube), and Singapore Speedway are the tracks for the Boomerang Cup (Tour).

Future Cups

The Feather Cup, Cherry Cup, Acorn Cup, and Spiny Cup will be available in future waves.

Pricing

The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass DLC will cost $24.99. You can access all the new content for free if you have the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass. An individual membership costs $49.99 annually, while a family membership costs $79.99.

Nintendo has officially stated that the tracks can be played locally or online for free. However, unless they have purchased the DLC, players will be unable to select these tracks while playing online. Amazon has physical copies available for purchase.
