MWC 2023 showed us a lot of exciting new devices to come out this year and the coming years. But what makes it worth the wait is that it also showcases some weird things.
Smartwatch With Earbuds
For one, the Huawei Watch Buds is a bit weird-it's a smartwatch with TWS earphones concealed behind the screen. The earbuds are small, but they deliver great listening experience and features noise cancellation, wear detection, and more.
If you think about it, the Huawei Watch Buds is a space-saver, and you never have to worry about leaving something behind. Still, it's a weird to know of something like this, but it does make sense.
Removable Mobile Camera Lens
Next is the Xiaomi 12S Ultra Concept, which aims to change the quality of the camera on mobile phones. Say goodbye to bulky lens that are attached permanently to your phone with the Xiaomi 12S. It comes with removable Leica lens that will ensure the phone stays compact, sleek, and slim when the camera's not in use.
The 12S also has two other cameras that don't need bulky lens, which will let you to shoot images quickly. Xiaomi's 12S is still in concept, so it's unsure whether it will go into production.

Liquid Cooling to Avoid Overheating Mobile Phones
Intense games and other demanding tasks can cause mobile phones to overheat. OnePlus has a concept to solve this problem. The OnePlus 11 Concept features liquid cooling inside the body. Through liquid cooling, it can remove heat from the SoC and release it to environment effectively.
Similar to the 12S, this is still a concept phone and no one knows yet whether it will go into production.
Rollable Smartphone Screen
The Motorola Rizr is a bigger device, but what makes it unique (and weird) is its rollable screen. It's still early days for the device, and currently, there are still some issues that need to be ironed out for this.
Motorola also showed off is satellite link. The Motorola Defy Satellite Link is a Bluetooth dongle that opens two-way satellite communications for any smartphone.
This makes it easier for people who often go to areas out of coverage of cellular signals.
Now, these weird technologies seen on MWC really blew a lot of minds. While some may not be released, others could be a part of our everyday lives. This also paves the path to weirder tech, which may eventually be, a norm in the future. What do you think of these weird technologies? Share your thoughts on the comment section below.
