In today's era of cutthroat competition, carving a name for yourself in the field of technology is a major feat. When we talk of Information Technology, one such remarkable name that shines through is that of Shahmeer Amir. Hailing from Pakistan, Shahmeer received his initial education from Usman Institute of Engineering. Later, he pursued a master's in cyber security from EC-Council University, gaining expertise in the area.

A bright young individual, Shahmeer did not just stop at this. He landed opportunities working for the Ministry of Finance as a Cyber Security Advisor where he exercised his knowledge on large-scale projects such as Deep Sea Tracking, Digital Transformation of Legislation, and Digitization of Pakistani Cultural Content.

In the process of earning a name for himself in the cybersecurity world, he collected certifications from renowned organizations namely, Mile2 and SANS and while mastering coding in 25 languages and reading in another 10! He continued to add achievements to his hat by penning the widely acclaimed book, Bug Bounty Hunting Essentials, in addition to two other books and several research papers based on similar topics. Microsoft also consecutively mentioned him in their top 100 researchers twice.

Big Bounty Hunting Essential is a step-by-step, brief guide to hunting and identifying bugs in systems and applications. What makes this book a rage amongst white-hat hackers, is that it takes you from the beginner level to the pro level, quickly and efficiently. It provides the reader with the theoretical fundamentals and practical knowledge on the subject so they can apply the concepts, techniques and tools to hunt bugs for big companies. The book has sold countless copies in the last 5 years, making Shahmeer an established author.

He has grown into a successful cybersecurity expert, tech executive, and developer, through experience working for Afiniti and founding three startups in 4 different countries. This has earned him a special space in the Forbes Technology Council and invitations as a keynote speaker at the largest cybersecurity conferences in the world such as Blackhat MEA where he presented to thousands of attendees alongside executives of Robinhood, Under Armour, Oracle, Walmart, and the World Health Organization.

For over 3 years, Shahmeer served as the Chief Technology Officer for Special Projects for the world-leading AI call center company, Afiniti which is considered to be a privately held unicorn company valued over $1 billion next to companies like SpaceX and Stripe. In his role, he oversaw the innovative technical research behind the core technology of Audio Video communication and the development and dissemination of technology for external customers, vendors, and other clients to help improve and increase business. Shahmeer directed a team of 50 people and represented over 500 global team members on various forums.

At the same time, Shahmeer led the New Zealand based financial security company, Crypto Launchpad, as the Chief Information Security Officer where he supervised risk management, resolution of threats to the investment platform, and the development of a long-term security operations plan involving the Token Assessment Framework.

Not only has Shahmeer played key executive roles for major tech companies, but he has also founded and built groundbreaking projects which offer the newest innovations in the tech industry. His current venture, YOUnite, is the primary company that provides Information Technology services and aims at rebuilding communication by developing next-generation Audio-Video communication technologies so that users can exchange data securely. This company of 70 people has managed to secure $1 Million in funding.

His other company, Veiliux, is Asia's first mainstream full-service cybersecurity startup. The company has been running successfully for the past 4 years in different regions, mainly Asia Pacific, UK and the UAE where Shahmeer has secured contracts with major parties such as Dubai Electricity and Water Authority. Shahmeer is also the tech mastermind of Authiun, a company of 70 people, that focuses on creating biometric authentication processes which provide stronger security over passwords and dual verified codes.

Being an influential personality, Shahmeer has thousands of followers on Twitter and LinkedIn. On his social media, you will find him identifying with several roles - not only as an ethical hacker but also as an engineer, cyber security advisor, 3rd bug hunter, Ironman enthusiast and an entrepreneur. While many are simply motivated by his huge progress at such a young age, most follow with the hope of learning a thing or two about hacking and cyber security from him. Shahmeer enjoys providing insight as he believes that knowledge is power.

He has been invited numerous times as a speaker at TED Talks where he delivered excellent speeches on Cyber Security, Blockchain and advancing technology in the same field. Moreover, he has also spoken at more than 80 conferences and workshops conducted throughout the globe, including UAE, Malaysia and Canada. Naturally, he has also been a part of the judges' panel at local and international startup competitions.

His long list of accolades also includes many awards for his exceptional career, including Pakistan Heroes Award from PCB and several feature articles in the national newspapers Dawn and The Edge Markets Malaysia, to name a few. Famous personalities, such as Ali Jameel, Zia Chishti, Monis Rehman, Martin Meckos and Adiraj Gupta have also vouched for his professional capabilities on several occasions.

To top it all off, Shahmeer is studying Digital Currency and Blockchain Security now and is expected to complete his PhD soon. These days he is working on developing next-generation products concerning Authentication, Artificial Intelligence, Web Applications, Cloud Security and Video Communications.
