These five-issue comics will explain what happened before the events where the world's strongest heroes are mind-controlled to destroy the planet.

According to DC, "Amanda Waller has taken control of the recently rebuilt Arkham Asylum, and her brutal tactics and merciless methods have led to the most secure facility Gotham City has ever seen."

"Arkham is part of her latest "recruitment drive," and she's looking for the strongest, smartest, and most brutal inmates in the asylum to serve her as new members of Task Force X," it further claimed.

What to Expect and Where to Get the Prequel Comics

DC said that the "Suicide Squad: Kill Arkham Asylum" Issue No. 1 will be available starting Tuesday, May 30, days later the game's actual release on May 26.

Like the DC and "Fortnite" crossover, there will be special codes to get from each comic that corresponds to a unique skin for the game.

It will release on different days successively, and not drop as one series among participating comic book shops and digital platforms.
