Chinese electronics manufacturer Meizu, which Geely recently acquired, is back in the smartphone market in a refreshed mood. After teasing the upcoming Meizu 20 series for some time, the brand has now confirmed the new device will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC - the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
According to the story by Giz China, Meizu is back with major changes after its acquisition by the Chinese Geely. The latest buzz about the upcoming flagship device series, Meizu 20 and Meizu 20 Pro has been steadily gaining momentum.
Meizu is Well Known for Creative Designs Across Many Devices
It is now officially confirmed the upcoming device will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The leaked images of the Meizu 20 Pro feature a unique design of the rear camera - the smiling face.
However, Digital Chat Station recently posted a different render of the phone with a generic design - a triple-camera array with an LED flash and a centered punch-hole cutout for the front-facing camera. Meizu is well known for its creative designs on other phones, as also noted in GSM Arena.
Leaked Images of the Meizu 20 & 20 Pro Reveal Design & Possible Launch Date
The Meizu 20 and the Meizu 20 Pro have now been spotted in various leaked images. The design of the Meizu 20 Pro resembles the leaked image of a smiling face that was revealed last week. Meanwhile, the Meizu 20 design looks different, featuring a triple-camera array with an LED flash and power and volume buttons on the right side.
The power and volume buttons are located on the right side of the device. It is assumed that the phone will come with an in-display fingerprint scanner and an OLED screen with a high refresh rate of 120Hz. The leak indicates that the launch maybe sometime in March.
