Apple is expected to release a new iMac 27 equipped with a new and improved M3 chip, replacing their original plans for the M2 chip. According to the rumors, the chip will be developed by TSMC thanks to its latest 3-nanometer process, providing users with more power efficiency and performance, according to an article by Mac Rumors.

This new chip will also be used in the upcoming MacBook Air, which is expected to hit the market in the second half of the year. In addition, the M3 chip will be integrated into the future MacBook and Mac Mini. The company had initially planned to use the second-generation 5-nanometer process TSMC M2 chip.

In 2021, Apple released the ultra-thin iMac 2021, which comes in seven colors including yellow, green, blue, silver, pink, orange and purple. This iMac is currently the only version available in stores, as the company discontinued their Intel-based 27-inch iMacs and iMac Pro.

Rumors suggest that a larger iMac might be released soon, however, Apple has yet to make a statement regarding this matter.
