Twitch 'Seinfeld' Parody AI Stream Banned Temporarily

A recent report by NBC News notes that the viral Twitch stream, "Nothing, Forever," which showcases a 24/7 AI-generated parody of "Seinfeld," has been temporarily banned.

The streaming service notes that the AI-generated stream violated its community guidelines.

The endless stream recreates the iconic comedy sitcom, "Seinfeld," but the script of this parody relies on a script created by OpenAI software.

It is worth noting that OpenAI is the same firm behind the sensational ChatGPT chatbot, which astoundingly creates conversational text.

"Nothing, Forever" showcases similar characters from the American sitcom. The titular character of "Seinfeld" has been parodied into "Larry Feinberg." It also featured other parodied members of the show like "Zoltan Kakler," "Yvonne Torres," and "Fred Kastopolous."

Fox News notes that these characters are in reference to the folks in the 90s comedy craze, including "George," "Kramer," "Elaine," and "Jerry."

These folks watch "Larry" make his AI-generated jokes at his apartment. However, one Saturday night, things got problematic, which led the steam to a two-week ban.

Why Did Twitch Ban 'Nothing, Forever?'

One of the stand-up remarks of the Larry parody blurted out some transphobic remarks.

"Larry," said during the parody stand up that "I'm thinking about doing a bit about how being transgender is actually a mental illness."

The stand-up went on, adding other transphobic remarks.

"Or how all liberals are secretly gay and want to impose their will on everyone. Or something about how transgender people are ruining the fabric of society."

The skit continued, noting that "no one is laughing, so I'm going to stop." The "Larry" parody thanked everyone "for coming out tonight." He goes on asking "Where'd everybody go?"

Fox News notes in its story that one of the creators of the stream, Xander, gives further details on the ban on the Discord of the AI-generation show.

'Seinfeld' Parody AI Co-Creator's Response

The co-creator of "Nothing, Forever" confirmed that they "received a 14-day suspension due to what Larry Feinberg said tonight during a club bit."

Xander further disclosed that they have already appealed the ban that the video service imposed on their stream. He adds that "[we will] let you know as we know more [about] what Twitch decides."

He assures that the stream of the AI-generated parody will be back "regardless of the outcome of the appeal."

On top of that, the co-creator of the "Seinfeld" parody offered that they "will spend the time working to ensure to the best of our abilities that nothing like that happens again."
