PlayStation Plus Premium gains a new free trial game, giving its subscribers a chance to download "Persona 5 Royal" free of charge.
The gaming subscription service of Sony has been offering its paying members games that they could try for free since it debuted last year.
And now, a new game demo has arrived, which is none other than one of the best role-playing games, "Persona 5 Royal."
PlayStation Plus Premium Adds 'Persona 5 Royal' Free Trial
As per a recent report by ComicBook.com, Sony added "Persona 5 Royal" to its roster of free trial gaming titles for PlayStation Plus Premium.
And as such, its subscribers could now download and test out the RPG game without spending more money on the service.
ComicBook notes that the demo of the game lasts for at least four hours, allowing its players to check out the ins and outs of the enhanced release of "Persona 5."
Sony is only giving away this free trial for a limited time. However, PS Plus subscribers still have enough time to try it out as it would be available for the rest of the year or in 2023.
It is worth noting that the game demo is set to leave the gaming service on January 31, 2024. So you still have nearly a year to try it out yourself.
How to Get 'Persona 5 Royal' Demo
It is worth noting that subscribers of other PlayStation Plus tiers, such as the Essential and Extra, are missing out on this game demo offering.
Given that, a PS Plus Premium subscription is required to get your hands on one of the biggest RPG games.
Tech Radar notes that the PS Plus Premium costs $17.99 or £13.49 monthly, or if you want to pay $99.99 yearly.
Meanwhile, the PS Plus Essential only sells for $9.99 or £6.99 per month or $59.99 or £49.99 a year. On the other hand, the "Extra" variant sports a subscription fee of $14.99 monthly or $99.99 annually.
All that said, the Premium tier is the most expensive variant, but it now offers a free trial of the "Persona 5 Royal."
On top of that, ComicBook.com reports that the subscription service only offers the PS5 version of the game. With that said, the demo does not provide the PS4 counterpart. So if you are looking to test out the latter via PS Plus, you are out of luck.
