Google Chromecast with Google TV (HD) just got more affordable than ever with its new price discount.
Besides the new all-time low price of the HD variant, the more expensive 4K version of the streaming device also receives up to 20% discount.
Google Chromecast with Google TV (HD) Discount
Although the Google Chromecast with Google TV is already affordable for its $30 pricing, the streaming device still got a huge discount, making it cheaper than ever.
A recent story by Engadget reports that the HD version of Chromecast receives an Amazon discount ahead of the Super Bowl weekend.
In time for the huge sporting craze, the 4K version also gets a cheaper price tag from the giant retailer.
4K Version is Now More Affordable
Amazon is now selling the Chromecast with Google TV (4K) with up to 20% percent discount, making it cheaper than ever.
For less than $40, you could get your hands on a streaming device that supports up to 4K resolution.
So if you have a TV at home that offers stunning 4K resolution, this might be a good deal for you.
Chromecast with Google TV (HD) vs. Chromecast with Google TV (4K)
Now that the two versions of Google Chromecast, the HD and 4K options, are much cheaper, you might find it hard to pick between the two.
So here is a comparison between the two Google streaming devices.
First and foremost, the Chromecast with Google TV (HD) comes with much cheaper pricing, typically starting at $30, according to Android Police. But with its new all-time low discount, it is now less than $20 on Amazon.
The 4K version, on the other hand, normally retails for $50. This time, it is cheaper than $40.
The HD option supports up to 1080 resolution with up to 60 frames per second. So if your setup has yet to support such high resolution, the HD version is the best bargain for you.
Meanwhile, the other option offers up to 4K at 60 frames per second, best for TVs that could support it.
After all, if your TV can only achieve up to 1080p, there is no reason to get the more expensive option - except for the additional Dolby Vision.
Given that, if the Dolby Vision is a deal breaker for you, the 4K model suits you despite your 1080p TV.
Yet, it is worth noting that booth models flaunt HDR10+ and HDR10 support and 8GB storage.
The 4K version now sells for $40 on Amazon and Best Buy, whereas the HD model is only $19.98 at Amazon.
