TikTok content creators in Australia are complaining about the removal of sounds from their videos.
Many of them already shared their negative experience, especially those who rely on TikTok to generate revenue.
The issue happening in Australia as of writing includes TikTok sounds and the original content audio.
This means that many Australian content creators are having their videos muted completely.

Via The Guardian's latest report, many Australian TikTok influencers shared their disappointment.

One is Mary McGillivray, a famous TikToker that focuses on art and history content.
"It's really confusing because for a lot of my content, I upload my own audio tracks, where I've paid for a license from an external provider, so these aren't even TikTok sounds," said the online influencer.
She added that they are being flagged as TikTok community guideline violations. Mary further stated TikTok feels like a platform that doesn't value its content creators.
Because of this, McGillivray and other affected Australian users now consider moving to other social media platforms.
TikTok Removes Sounds for a Reason
For those who are asking if this problem is just a bug, it is not.
SocialMedia Today reported that TikTok is conducting an in-app test in Australia.
This activity involves restricting the capacity of content creators to add music to their videos.
Because of this, many influencers are not able to use certain songs and audio. Many experts said that TikTok is doing this so that the online platform will not rely on music.
They added that this would allow TikTok to have the upper hand when it comes to negotiating with music publishers.
