FDA's COVID-19 vaccination strategy redesign will be discussed before it can be accepted in the United States.
The Food and Drug Administration recently released documents suggesting that COVID-19 vaccines should be updated yearly.
FDA said that this should be done annually based on the circulating COVID-19 strains in the U.S.
This means that COVID-19 vaccinations would be similar to how people take flu shots year after year.

What FDA Wants
One of the things that FDA wants to change in the COVID-19 vaccination strategy of the U.S. government is the vaccine formulas.
The health department said that they want to limit COVID-19 vaccines to bivalent formulas.
FDA explained that bivalent formulas offer better protection against existing COVID-19 subvariants compared to the original vaccines.
The agency added that simplifying COVID-19 vaccine composition, messaging, and updates could drastically improve vaccine coverage rates in the United States.
