The latest Riot Games hack could delay Ahri ASU, as well as the entire "League of Legends" Patch 13.2.
On Saturday, Jan. 21, the giant game publisher confirmed that its development systems had been compromised.
"Earlier this week, systems in our development environment were compromised via a social engineering attack," said Riot Games via its official Twitter announcement.
The company said they wanted to inform players early and tell them that their personal details were not compromised. But, the game itself is affected.
Riot Games Hack Aftermath
According to Engadget's latest report, the "League of Legends" Patch 13.2, which was originally scheduled on Jan. 25, might be delayed.
This is because the security breach affected Riot Games' ability to release in-game content. The game publisher said the hack could affect "patch cadence" across other games.
As of writing, Riot Games hasn't provided a new release date for the "LoL" Patch 13.2. But, the company said that the delay could last until February.
This just means that the following "League of Legends" patches would also be moved to other dates.
Ahri ASU Could be Delayed
Sportskeeda reported that the delayed "League of Legends" Patch 13.2 includes lots of exciting in-game enhancements.
One of these is the most-awaited Ahri ASU (Art and Sustainability Update).
Previously, we reported that the Ahri ASU would retain the character's original skills and gameplay.
But, her appearance would be improved. Some of the changes were even leaked in the recent Pride Month trailer of "LoL."
These include her having brighter clothing; with a more pinkish tone. The delayed Ahri ASU might disappoint many fans, especially since gamers have been waiting for this update since 2022.
Aside from her, Jax's VFX update, as well as Patch 13.2's ADC changes, would be delayed as well.
Riot Games is not the only company affected by security breaches.
Previously, the massive T-Mobile cybersecurity hack has been confirmed to affect over 37 million user data.
The PayPal credential-stuffing hack also compromised more than 35,000 accounts.
