A company called MASK Architects from Italy and Turkey has created a new design that combines almost all essential elements of human life, in one sustainable design. The company called this the BAOBAB Luxury Resort, and they envision this design for Africa, focusing on the world's first eco-tourism project to deliver a unique experience.
The essential elements include the air-to-water technology that centers on each hut-like house that could produce water for its visitor's needs, as well as get power from the Sun.
MASK Architects Design the BAOBAB Luxury Safari Resort
The BAOBAB Luxury Safari Resort is not a normal holiday or exotic destination that will be available for all soon, as MASK Architects designed this to be an all-in-one sustainable location. The company from Öznur Pınar Çer centers on integrating green design that applies to the African safari themes, also centering on eco-tourism.
The resort utilizes its design to provide one of the most scarce sources in the area, and that is water. For the African safari, water is a luxury, but with the air-to-water design of its cabins, it will become an accessible material for all.
"With this project, we wanted to contribute to communities who need water in Africa. This versatile project has been designed to meet the needs of all segments" say the designers.
All Essentials in One Sustainable Design
According to Interesting Engineering, apart from its air-to-water technology, it also centers on solar panels on its facade, particularly as the African safari is known for abundant sunlight.
This means that it will draw power from the massive natural resource to power this luxury resort, centering mostly on being a self-sustainable destination that heavily relies on natural resources for it to run.
"These are based on constructive and restorative project generation processes arising from the geological, climatic, and environmental factors in which the project is located," stated the firm.
The Modern Marvels of Architecture
The world sees architecture everywhere, and without it, people would not enjoy structures they see on historical sites or enjoy one's relaxation at home, as they help translate a design or deliver a vision to customers.
Modern architecture now focuses on using sustainable and smart materials to power or complete one's home, and one example would be the new breed of wood, a transparent one that can store and release heat.
However, some designers now rely on AI to design cities or locations from software like Midjourney, and other platforms available. One design centered on a futuristic design of a city, one that integrates a brutalist, biophilic, and plant-design architecture, showing an abundance of greenery in a future city.
There is still massive importance that architecture brings to the world, and it may help in transforming certain locations, like an African luxury safari resort concept, to become sustainable and eco-friendly. This new take on eco-tourism elevates the use of mixed styles to apply for integrating air circulation and solar power to maximize natural resources for its visitors' use.
